There are very good reasons why the doctor tells us to stick out our tongue and say, “Awww….” Different colours, bumps, and wrinkles may be giving a sign about an underlying health condition. In fact, medical workers recommend we ourselves take a look every day.
Our health workers and fellows across our villages are teaching people how to do this. In Juna Kattiwada, Madhya Pradesh, another instruction course was given along with proper hand washing for children. Local women were also taught the importance of monitoring for anaemia.
