A Successful Beautician

G.V. Teja’s journey from being a housewife to a successful self-employed beautician is inspirational. After completing the 10th standard, she couldn’t continue her studies due to her family’s financial problems, so she pursued her passion for beauty care. She was doing make-up and eyebrow threading that she learned from her relative who has a beauty parlour in a distant town.

She started doing threading in her town and earning a little income out of it. But, the customers wanted to do more than threading. She was enquiring about the training from different institutions, but the fees for the training were not affordable. She learned about the Beauty Care Assistant training offered by Amrita Jan Shikshan Sansthan – Vizianagaram from one of her clients, and she managed to enrol in the training programme near her house.

Through dedication and hard work, she honed her skills and transformed herself into a talented beautician.

Today, G.V. Teja is a shining example of how education and skill development can empower individuals to create a better future for themselves. Her monthly earnings of 10,000 to 15,000 rupees testify to her determination and the opportunities that education and skill training can provide.

When asked about her success, G.V. Teja shared her gratitude by saying, “The training program at Amrita Jan Shikshan Sansthan – Vizianagaram changed my life. It gave me the skills and confidence to pursue my passion, and now I am not just a beautician but also a self-employed. I can now offer to my friends and other customers facial and bridal make-up also. I couldn’t be happier with the change in my life.”
