An Aadhar card registration camp was organized in Hadiyabad in association with the block development officer and other government authorities. Till now, 40 people have received the card and more are planning to attend the camp to do the same.
The need of the hour was that Ratanpur Musahar community’s anganwadi children were not getting the midday meals provided by the government without having own Aadhar card. Therefore, Hadiyabad and Ratanpur village coordinators Nandkishor and Urmila Devi initiated the arrangements, and with the help of Ammachi Labs’ community organizer the camp was successfully facilitated.
Aadhar card is considered the most important identity card by the government of India, which insists having Aadhar card because of its ample proof of the citizen’s identity and address. In the rural villages, it helps the population to open bank accounts without a delay, to get pension money on time for senior citizens and widows, access to gas connection, and many other government schemes and subsidies.
