Ashika’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of education and empowerment. Enrolling in the Assistant Dress Maker Course offered by Amrita Jan Shikshan Sansthan – Idukki in partnership with Sahayagiri Healthcare Society Thodupuzha during the financial year 2022-2023, she embarked on a path that would change her life.

Upon successfully completing the course, Ashika harnessed her newfound skills and became a self-employed tailor, setting up shop in a room in her home.

The impact of JSS’s training on Ashika’s life was profound. Her hard work and dedication bore fruit as she started earning over Rs. 13,000 monthly, a significant leap from her previous circumstances.

With her newfound financial independence, Ashika not only improved her own life but also contributed to her family’s well-being, fulfilling their needs and aspirations.

In Ashika’s own words, “The training provided by JSS was truly transformative for me. I am now earning more than Rs. 13,000 per month, and I can provide for my family’s needs. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support and education I received through the program. I am grateful for the opportunity and the skills I acquired, which have not only changed my life but also empowered me to help my family in meaningful ways.”
