Desh Dekho – Journey to Learn is for young adults to get a first-hand experience of the lives of Indian rural communities. This is what happened during our first programme in January 2017.

The 15-day immersion program will give participants an opportunity to see a model village, live in an Amrita SeRVe village, participate in the making of a plan for its development and interacting with experts from the field.

List of Planned Activities:

* Lectures on Agriculture, Water & Sanitation, Health and Environment with renowned speakers
* Field visit within Delhi to get a perspective on upcoming village visits
* Field visits to a model village and the Amrita SeRVe village of Kanti to learn best practices
* First hand experience of village life, issues and culture through living in the rural community
* Regular recap sessions to go over what was learnt each day
* Home assignments

The course fee is INR 15,000. Apply early to avail scholarships.
