Domestic Care Attendants are in High Demand

Inauguration of Domestic Care Attendant and Data Entry Operator courses was held at Amrita JSS–Idukki training centre on 5th August. Sampoojya Swami Jnanamritananda Puri lighted the lamp and spoke in the occasion. Many of the Amrita JSS staff gave inspiring talks as well.
In the inaugural speech, Swamiji said that Amrita JSS–Idukki started in 2003 under MA Math. With continous teamwork and Amma’s grace, now we are operating JSSs in six (6) states.
Swamiji also referred Amma’s words on education for life and education for living: here in Amrita JSS both are provided. He also mentioned to the audience about the importance of respecting parents, avoid the usage of intoxicants, benefits of practising yoga and meditation, and healthy food habits with its benefits.
Domestic Care Attendant course is aimed to provide support to the bed ridden patients, maternity care, and hospital by-stander. In the course, they will learn the basic nursing care work, bed making, cleaning, wound dressing, and also palliative care.
Theory classes are provided in the centre. The practical sessions will be given by the doctors at private hospitals and palliative care units.
Also domestic care attendants have high demand in foreign countries with the Skill India certificate under Ministry of Skill Development Government of India.
