On Independence Day 2018, the new Amrita CREATE tuition center was inaugurated in Barapita, Odisha. Amrita SeRVe has recently begun working in the village and one of the first efforts was to find a tuition teacher and a health worker. Both have started their work and the inauguration was part of the Independence Day celebrations in the village.
Former sarpanch of Mendhasal panchayat, Umakant Behera, honoured the occasion. Other guest was Barapita ward member Sahadeva Hisha. The residents of Barapita expressed their contentment that Amrita SeRVe expanded its work in their village.
