Organic Farming in Sadivayal

In 2016 Amrita SeRVe worked side-by-side with 20 men from the poorest families of Sadivayal tribal village in the middle of the National Reservation Forest in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, to not only revive their courage and hope; the local Amrita SeRVe coordinator Sreeni KR also guided them all the way in the transition to organic farming: an initial formation of a farmers’ group, land preparation, government support facilitation, and 100% organic natural pesticide and fertilizer implementation.
