Geetanjali Rout’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of education and determination. Hailing from the remote Jayapatna block in Odisha, Geetanjali discovered an opportunity that would change her life. She enrolled in the free Beauty Care Assistant training program offered by Amrita Jan Shikshan Sansthan in Kalahandi in Jayapatna in 2022.

Before the training, Geetanjali was a housewife with a hidden talent for beautician work. The program not only honed her skills but also boosted her confidence. Upon successfully completing the training, she received the Skill India certificate.

With newfound self-assurance, Geetanjali embarked on an entrepreneurial journey. She opened her own beauty parlour, aptly named “Princess Beauty Parlour” in Jayapatna. With the unwavering support of her family, friends and relatives, she transformed her skill into a successful business.

Today, Geetanjali is self-employed, earning a monthly income of approximately 15,000 rupees. Her success story inspires many.

Geetanjali reflects on her journey with gratitude, saying, “The training transformed me from a hesitant housewife into a confident entrepreneur. I am proud to say that I am now the owner of Princess Beauty Parlour, and my life has taken a beautiful turn for the better.”
