Summer camp started yesterday in several villages. For six days children will gather to have playful educational moments through art and crafts, yoga and storytelling. Like last year, also this year’s summer camp will culminate in drama, played on the last day. The performance is planned and rehearsed throughout the camp by the children.
Children enrolled in the summer camp as soon as they heard it is happening. School summer vacations are on at the moment, so what could be happier than led activity with inspirational adults to spend time. Organization and teaching is carried out in collaboration between the local Amrita SeRVe village coordinator and health worker, as well as Amrita CREATE tuition teacher. These three, or even more adults, are leading the sessions for groups of 10 to 70 children, between 6 and 15 years of age.
