Raji, a 32-year-old woman hailing from Manjappara, Nedumkandam, once led a modest life as a homemaker. Her husband worked as a taxi driver, and they had two young daughters. Their lives took an unexpected turn when her husband met with a severe car accident, leaving him bedridden and their family without a source of income.
During this challenging time, Raji discovered a ray of hope in the form of the Assistant Dress Maker Course offered by JSS Idukki at their Manjappara center.
Determined to change her family’s fate, she enrolled in the course and began acquiring valuable skills.
Upon completing the course, Raji’s journey took another positive turn when Navajyothi Charitable Trust generously provided her with a tailoring machine free of cost.
This simple act of kindness opened the door to a new career for her, allowing her to work from the comfort of her home.
Raji transformed her life and now sustains her family with a steady monthly income, averaging monthly around 12,000 rupees.
Amrita JSS training was a lifeline for my family.
